There are many frequently asked questions about the Rutgers Finance Society that come up. In order to make it a little bit quicker and easier for you to be able to receive your answers, we've decided to post these questions and answers on the website so that we can accomodate you a little bit more quickly and easily.
Q: What is RFS?
The Rutgers Finance Society at Rutgers University in Newark is an organization for students who are interested in economics and financial matters. It seeks to encourage the students' interest in these fields by coming together and discussing various topics, and to help motivate students to achieve high personal and academic standards in their related subjects.
Q: How many meetings are there and at what times?
We have meetings and events scheduled for most weeks of the calendar school year. Meetings are during free period on Mondays (11:30AM - 12:50PM)) & or Wednesdays (2:30PM - 3:45PM). Out of the 10 meetings, members are only allowed 2 absences.
Q: Is RFS strictly for finance majors?
No. We accept all business majors. However, the vast majority of our events will be more relevant to Finance, Economics and Accounting Majors. For more questions about joining and requirements, see the tab on the side that says "Join RFS".
Why should I join?
